Cordelia

Cordella, a name meaning "jewel of the sea" in Welsh. One of my favourite colours, this lehenga is inspired by a dive in Socorro, Mexico. The ocean was filled with beautiful oceanic manta rays. As I reached the surface, I was greeted with splashes by a mother and her baby dolphin, playfully swimming and enjoy their moment. I wanted time to be still and be in that exact moment. So, when I started creating this collection - it was a moment I knew that had to be embroidered. The dolphins are embroidered on the top and the mantas are embroidered on the bottom of the lehenga. Embellished with silk resham and embroidered with intricate glass beading, crystals and sequins, the lehenga is paired with a crystal blouse, a sparkle zardozi dupatta and diamond and coral earrings by Vanraj Zaveri.
